Red Light, Green Light

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. — 2 P e t e r 3 : 9

Nate, 29, said, “We have a wrecked view of Jesus because of the time we were born into, and we’re all looking for his will when Jesus just wants us to experience the absolute freedom of making choices and taking big risks for the sake of his kingdom.”

Plant in Tears

Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. — P s a l m 1 2 6 : 5 ( n l t )

Jesus is sovereign and still in control over all our circumstances.
Does this mean that we never ask “why” or “what if ” when trials come? Or never soak our pillows in the night with our tears? No!

Still Single

I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them . . . and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me. — J e r e m i a h 3 2 : 3 9 – 4 0

No matter if you’re single or married, the Bible says we can have singleness of heart and action. If Jesus is inspiring us to stay faithful to him, how much more does he value our relationships?

Salvation Is Near

In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. — I s a i a h 3 0 : 1 5

Because of what Jesus did on the cross, I don’t have to wait to repent. I can find rest and strength in the Lord today.

Whistle While You Wait

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. — R o m a n s 1 2 : 1 2

Praise Jesus that he is the one who makes our path straight (see Proverbs 4:27). Therefore, let us choose to “fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at
the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2).
