It’s Your Birthday

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. — R e v e l a t i o n 3 : 2 0

Your new life starts today. “If you confess with your mouth,
‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved’” (Romans 10:9-10).

Two Keys

Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved — you and your household. — Ac t s 1 6 : 3 1

The apostle Paul was asked by the Philippian jailer, “What must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30). Believe. Faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone — and nothing else — for eternal life.

Jesus, Who Is He?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . . The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. — J o h n 1 : 1 , 1 4

Travis, 25, said, “I want to show God’s love [Jesus] to others.”
Dear Jesus, the Son of God, Thanks for showing us more of you through your Word. May we go a step further and receive these words as our light and life today. By faith we believe in you.
Amen.

Rejected

He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. — I s a i a h 5 3 : 3

Josiah, 25, said, “I want to be the best husband, father, and friend I can be. If I feel like I am not measuring up, it really takes a toll on me.”

Till Death Do Us Part

So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. — 1 P e t e r 4 : 1 ( n l t )

“What happens when God says ‘no’?” The fear of death forced me to surrender. I got down on my knees with my mom and cried out to Jesus. I told him if he never healed me, I’d still believe in him. I also asked him to help me not be afraid.
