Your Feet

And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows
of the evil one. — E p h e s i a n s 6 : 1 5 – 1 6

ob, 34, said, “My friends who are twentysomething and single can only think about themselves and what works best for them, regardless of how it affects others. I think we’re prone to this sort of behavior because of our sin nature, and when we don’t put ourselves in their shoes, it ruins our testimony and stands in the way of true friendship.”

Help, I’m Slipping!

When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your love, O Lord, supported me. — P s a l m 9 4 : 1 8

Picture Promises

For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. — H a b a k k u k 2 : 3 ( n k j v )

Pictures never lie. What Jesus promises, he will fulfill. Think of his promises as picture promises.

What’s Next, Papa?

This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” — R o m a n s 8 : 1 5 ( m s g )

Cassandra, 30, said, “I wish when I was twenty someone had taught me about being unequally yoked, picking a husband, and preparing to be a mom. I bought into culture’s lie that I can have it all. I can’t, and now I regret that I have to work while my two-year-old is in day care.”
