Once my book contract became final I wanted to personally thank President Michael D. Miller of NavPress and his team of amazing a for making my publishing dreams come true. Here is a picture with my Editor, Rebekah Guzman, one of the kindest and respectable women I know!

I remember a few years ago sitting in my Life Coach’s living room wondering how I was going to juggle my new responsibilities of attending Biola University while working full time. It was the toughest decision I have ever made –to stick with it!

After my crying, sobbing, and tears of “how can I do it all?” Vickie told me, “Renee, Biola is going to help you with your writing.” She was right! My five-year prayer request of writing a daily devotional has finally come true.

When I arrived in Colorado it was snowing and beautiful. I took the time to explore Glen Eyrie, the castle, and even went hiking in my flip-flops!

Immediately after I arrived on the beautiful grounds I wanted to bless NavPress for already blessing me. When I couldn’t sleep I checked my email and one of the devotionals I subscribe to Daily Disciples was on how to bless others.

The first thing I did in our Marketing meeting was to read the verse from Numbers 6: 22-26 of blessing over NavPress,

“The Lord said to Renee, ‘Tell Mike & his team, this is how I am going to bless NavPress. Say to them: The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.’”

Almost in tears, my dad and I proceeded to share with them the vision of reaching my generation for Jesus Christ. It is my desire to spur you forward in your walk with Jesus daily through writing, prayer, worship, and community.

There is nothing better that you can do for yourself than getting the Word ten minutes every day (Gimme 10 Today). Why? Because Jesus honors stubborn faith. Here is a picture to prove it. Ten years ago I had eczema so bad on my feet and face that I barely had any skin. Now look at me!
