“Faith, hope, love” is painted above my mantel. We actually didn’t put it there — the previous owners of our house did! Such a good reminder.
I have an idea. Maybe it’s a lame idea that won’t work out, but I’m willing to try!
I love Pinterest and I thought maybe we could have a Devotional Diva community board that all the Divas can pin to. We could share quotes and other inspiring/encouraging pictures, articles, etc. on there. I went ahead and made the board, you can check it out right here.
The thing is that in order to add pins to it, you need to be invited first. 🙁 Pinterest has a messaging system now, but you can only message people that are following you as far as I can tell. So for now, I think it would just be easiest for you to email me requesting an invite.
If you have Pinterest and want to add to the board, just email me at editor(at)devotionaldiva(dot)com with your name and email address and I’ll invite you to join the fun!
Currently, I am attempting to become a reformed worrier. I have been working on this for awhile, because my worrying used to get really out of hand. And there are sooo many scriptures that instruct one to not worry.
It is a process. I have gotten better at handling my fears and anxiety about things, but it is still something I’m striving to improve upon.
Scriptures do help ease my racing thoughts, but I chose to share this quote today because it appeals to the rational side of my brain. I find that reasoning and something “making sense” in my mind helps me to accept things.
“Worrying won’t stop bad stuff from happening. It just stops you from enjoying the good.”
Yay! Next week begins our 1st ever Christmas guest post series! The theme of the series is “the gifts God has given you.”
Christmas is a very special time, and I wanted to do something special on Devotional Diva because Jesus is the best gift of all!
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
The week will start early, kicking everything off on Monday, December 8th instead of our regularly-scheduled Tuesday — there will be other special days like that this month!
I still have a little room for extra posts on those “special” days, and I know there were a few of your who said you might submit. If you still want to, NOW IS THE TIME! The deadline is December 11th.
